About five years ago we did a major renovation to our house and the architect suggested we use spray foam for insulation. There were many benefits; it was a green technology, it provided a vapor barrier, it added some rigidity to the structure, it filled every nook and it could get wet without growing mold. The down side: In those days a truck showed up at your house with 55 gallon drums of chemicals and a very loud machine used to mix the foam and to power the sprayers. They did a great ...

While some might find this residence in Hiroshima, Japan, an off-kilter design, I’d say it strikes a perfect balance, at least aesthetically. The hard qualities evoked by black cedar and steel juxtapose a freshness derived from open spaces between the levels and 360-degree views. Architect Tetsuya Nakazono from Naf Architect & [...]

No, we can't give you a clear reason why this particular chap did this particular thing, but good gravy, look at the pretty pictures! We've come across an iPhone-inspired font that looks to have been created by collating and color coding a vast collection of apps in order to properly represent the English alphabet. There's not much info given beyond the app count and the fact it required an architect with "too much free time" on his hands, but we're not going to begrudge a
visual attraction when we can get one. You might be able to get the typography for yourself by contacting the author at the source link, or you can skip past the break to see it on video -- if you're careful enough you should be able to spot
the world's greatest mobile app making a guest appearance.

It is impressive how helpful the team from Powers Fasteners can be at times, they are very dedicated to supporting every level of users that would have interaction with their products from architect to installer. There are several useful resources you can find on the web, including detailed Training Videos for a variety of products as well as a handy Epoxy Volume Estimator to help more accurately calculate amounts of Powers Chemical Anchors required for any given job.

The product that impressed us most however was the Powers Design Assist (PDA) Software which is built for architects and engineers to use in the early design stages. The software put technical data into a real-time environment and helps you visualize, consider and specify anchors in today's changing engineering climate. Did we mention it’s completely Free software to download (click the link above) which you wouldn't even need to use Powers Fasteners to find helpful.

If you have any specific questions on Powers Fasteners products, another excellent resource for professional support would be Ohio Power Tool at 800-242-4424 or email sales@ohiopowertool.com.
