Baron Bob sells this set of Horrified B-Movie Victims. The set features nine victims ( 2.5" - 3" tall) in "an array of horrified poses.. shock, awe, fear, and of course the female slipping in high heels." The set sells for $14.95 but the green bear doesn't seem to be included. Horrified B-Movie Victims...

iPhone 3G Unlocked?

So I read this on gizmodo. Here's the truth...

Post beta 4, the ramdisk hack stopped working. Sorry Zibri, guess you'll have to steal another exploit. They also changed the recovery mode USB protocol to use the control endpoint to send commands.

The possiblity of unlocking, which is very distinct from jailbreaking, is based entirely on the baseband bootloader. Apple doesn't appear to upgrade the bootloader on phones in the field, probably for fear of bricks. So any old iPhones out there today, regardless of version, can be unlocked.

The iPhone 3G uses a different bootloader, which I believe there aren't any known exploits in yet. So no unlock.

There is a known exploit in iBoot, on both the old and 3G iPhones. The "the specific date/time is not firm yet" pwnage tool will leverage it to jailbreak all 2.0 software iPhones, 3G and otherwise. Dev team, that date better be soon or I might just have to release yiPhone. The iBoot exploit is yours, use it. You wouldn't want a repeat of ZiPhone now...

Here’s a pointless little bit of trivia: On Sunday I got my wedding ring cut off my finger. I’ve recently started waking up in the middle of the night with panic attacks. They were being caused by a sudden and irrational fear that my ring was cutting my finger off because I could no longer get [...]

Server Failure Destroys Sidekick Users' Backup Data

Expanding on the T-Mobile data loss mentioned in an update to an earlier story, reader stigmato writes 'T-Mobile's popular Sidekick brand of devices and their users are facing a data loss crisis. According to the T-Mobile community forums, Microsoft/Danger has suffered a catastrophic server failure that has resulted in the loss of all personal data not stored on the phones. They are advising users not to turn off their phones, reset them or let the batteries die in them for fear of losing what data remains on the devices. Microsoft/Danger has stated that they cannot recover the data but are still trying. Already people are clamoring for a lawsuit. Should we continue to trust cloud computing content providers with our personal information? Perhaps they should have used ZFS or btrfs for their servers ...'
