For most people, watching Web video is predominantly a streamed experience on your computer. But an important and substantial portion of Web video is still downloaded to be watched later, or transferred to a different screen (usually an iPod, but sometimes a flat-screen TV). The problem with downloads is that they don't fit neatly into the advertising model that rules most other Web video. Earlier today at the
Beet.TV Online Video Summit (which I co-moderated with Cnet's Dan Farber and Beet.TV's Andy Plesser),
blip.tv CEO Mike Hudack revealed that his company has found a way to dynamically insert ads from DoubleClick into video downloads on iTunes and elsewhere.

Well, here I am still...The picture above is not a fake. It's not even a major breakthru but it's something.I am glad to tell you anyhow that 2.0firmware works pretty well on my iPod 32gb.All features are enabled. To install it from windows (or mac) you needa special beta version of itunes.Unless you want to loose installerand all third party apps I strongly suggest youNOT TO UPGRADE (both iPod both iPhone). To downgrade the iPod you will needto uninstall iTunes 7.7 and reinstall 7.5.Then you will need to put the iPod in DFU modeand do a full restore back to 1.1.4 (and use ZiPhone)to have back Installer and all goodies. With the iPhone it's more complicatedbecause you will also need todowngrade the baseband.I already have a very preliminary versionof the new ZiPhone which will allow that. As of today you will have 2 choices:1) Believe in the community and don't upgrade to 2.02) Say goodbye to Installer and freedom and upgrade. Stay tuned :)Zibri

In the previous post, I forgot to annouce a beta feature in WildEyes! 2.20, which is the attachment of files to email. The feature depends on the mailto: attachment plugin available in Cydia. Since I forgot this feature, I also forgot to inform modmyi admin about it, so you will need to update your WildEyes! [...]

Version 1.0
Bluetooth Image let’s you quickly share your Photo Library between two iPhones or iPod Touches. It doesn’t get any more basic than this. And how brilliant it is! Sure, there is that “Mover” app that Apple even touted on their commercial, but both parties need to be on the same Wi-Fi network for [...]

Version svn.r49
This update fixes the favoriting multi-role apps (Camera, iPod) and the “Quit” table cell text that appeared in other apps. There isn’t much more to say on this, other than how happy I am that it works again! Enjoy your multitasking!
