For those of you that might be in or around Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, October 22nd I would like to invite you to Ohio Power Tool for the Annual Tent Sale & Tool Expo. This year it’s a little later than usual so it would correspond with the launch of so many new lines of tools including: Milwaukee M12, Milwaukee M18, Bosch 12V Max, Bosch 18V Lithium, Ridgid Explorer & New Seesnakes, plus many other exciting product. All of these new tools will be at the show ready for you to demo, so if you want to try out the new Dremel Multi-Max or anything else come on down. Each vendor will be there in full force including the Bosch Big Blue Trailer. Milwaukee, Ingersoll Rand, Ridgid, Chicago Pneumatic, Hougen, Power Team and many others will have tents and tables set up as well. The event runs from 10:00am – 5:00pm or when people finally leave.

This is a great event for any one buying tools or just wanting to test out the new tools! Ohio Power Tool, already known for low internet competitive pricing, really blows it out for the tent sale. Lots of existing products are discounted for that day in addition to overall discounts given on all in-store orders. On top of the Ohio Power Tool discounts the vendors on hand have even more discounts in the form of promotions, instant rebates, free tools, tool trade-ins, etc. For instance, Bosch is offering $75 trade-in on any 18 volt, working or not, to upgrade to their new 18v lithium. That would put the new Bosch 18V compact drill at $129 and on top of that you would still get off an additional discount from Ohio Power Tool.

I’m sounding like a used car salesman now but it is definitely worth checking out if you want to get some really good deals on power tools or just get your hands on some of the new tools.

New High Capacity Milwaukee M12 XC Battery 48-11-2402

Posted by on under lger, milwaukee tool, m18, xc, run time, battery life, scanner, amp, press release, checkout |

With all the new Milwaukee M12 tools we have been talking about it only makes sense they would offer a new high capacity M12 battery. The XC M12 battery will have double the run time of the standard M12 48-11-2401 ($59). The regular M12 battery offers a good amount of run time already but Milwaukee is really targeting the professionals with the new M12 tools and battery life is always an issue when you depend on your tools 8+ hours a day. The new design has some advantages and disadvantages; the positive is run time & some of the tools will now have a wider more stable platform to rest on. The disadvantage is the compact tools are no longer as compact; a M12 2410-22 would almost be as large as the M18 2601-22. Also some of the M12 tools designed for the smaller battery can’t fit the larger XC 48-11-2402 such as the Plumb Laser or Sub-Scanner. For more details checkout the Full Milwaukee Tool Press Release below.

Milwaukee M18 Compact Band Saw 2629-22

Posted by on under band saws, nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp, cut time, m18, tight spaces, compact size, power tool, variable speed, battery life, volt, blade, batteries, email |

You may remember the post a few weeks ago on the corded Compact Band Saw 6249-6 ($199), well the cordless M18 Band Saw 2629-22 ($399) shares the same basic sizes and dimensions. They also both use the 35-3/8” blade and feature the built-in LED work light however the corded version does have variable speed while the cordless does not.

The new compact M18 Band Saw is 45% lighter than the Deep Cut V28 Band Saw but still has a 3-1/4” capacity large enough to handle many common tasks. Th light weight compact size paired with the built in LED work light this is possibly the best band saw on the market for getting into tight spaces. The M18 also offers up to 3x faster cut time and 3x longer battery life when compared to other 18 volt cordless band saws. If you already have other M18 tools and batteries you can also pick up the tool only version M18 Band Saw 2629-20 ($219).

If you have any questions about any of the Milwaukee portable band saws or any of the Milwaukee M18 tool feel free to call the pros at Ohio Power Tool 800-242-4424 or email any questions to sales@ohiopowertool.com.

Upgrade your Milwaukee Flashlight to LED 49-81-0090

Posted by on under flashlight bulb, nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp, rsquo, led bulb, tool category, life span, t break, v18, v28, m18, upgrade kit, power tool, flashlights, bulbs, run time, amp, job |

Tired of your Flashlight dying while on the job? How about 3 times the run time. Bulbs are a pain to replace; how about 250 times the life span (50,000 hours). Ever dropped your flashlight and the bulb broke; how about a bulb that won’t break (or that is at least as strong as or stronger than the plastic housing it). One bulb (the last bulb you'll ever need) to work with all M12, M18, V18, V28 & all 9.6-28V Milwaukee incandescent flashlights.

It’s all true for your current flashlight if you get the new LED upgrade kit from Milwaukee 49-81-0090. The cost for the upgraded LED bulb kit will be around $35-40 but could be worth it for all benefits it provides. With all the advantages and continuously cheaper LED bulbs hopefully it won’t be long until all work lights are LED. Probably never guessed your flashlight bulb would out live your children’s children did you?

The Upgrade to LED kit 49-81-0090 will be available soon on Ohio Power Tool category: Cordless Worklights.
