Yep it’s another new tool for the Milwaukee M12 tool line. It seems like we have been posting several times a week on all the new Milwaukee Tools but they just keep coming out with really cool new stuff. The Milwaukee
2415-21 ($139) M12 Right Angle drill is no exception. Similar to the Bosch
PS10-2a ($119) however the new Milwaukee has a 20% more torque, faster RPM and of course the 3/8” hard plastic chuck. The 2415-21 offers a respectable 100 in-lbs torque, 800 RPM with electronic 11 setting chuck however for serious drilling from a compact tool the
2410-22 ($149) is still the better way to go with more powerful 250 in-lbs, 2 speed 0-400/0-1500 RPM, (2) batteries in kit and a metal chuck.
Where this new drill really shines is in compact spaces, with a head length of only 3-3/4” this drill can get into places most other tool can’t with the versatility of using a 3/8” chuck. The M12 right angle drill also features a built-in LED work light, battery gauge and extended paddle switch. Check out all the Milwaukee M12 tools at Ohio Power Tool.

Recent evidence of horizontal gene transfer -- in which genes are exchanged from other organisms, not from ancestors -- has some scientists thinking that the dominant form of evolution for most of the Earth's history was between non-related organisms and not among ancestors.
In the past few years, a host of genome studies have demonstrated that DNA flows readily between the chromosomes of microbes and the external world. Typically around 10 per cent of the genes in many bacterial genomes seem to have been acquired from other organisms in this way, though the proportion can be several times that. So an individual microbe may have access to the genes found in the entire microbial population around it, including those of other microbe species. "It's natural to wonder if the very concept of an organism in isolation is still valid at this level," says Goldenfeld.
Read on for their hypothesis about how horizontal evolution drove innovation -- development of a universal genetic code and genetic innovation-sharing protocols -- in life forms early on in the Earth's history. Fascinating.

We've definitely learned a ton about
Windows Phone 7 Series here at
MIX, but getting the full picture on multitasking has been difficult, since the OS isn't ready, no one has final hardware, and the emulator seems to behave differently than actual devices and Microsoft's descriptions. So let's set the record straight on multitasking: it's not going to happen, at least not in the traditional way. Not only have we directly confirmed this with Microsoft executives several times, but the developer sessions here are totally clear on the matter -- you don't tell 1000+ devs that they should expect their apps to be killed whenever the user switches away from them if you don't mean it. Now, that's not to say that the OS can't do multitasking: first-party apps like the Zune player and IE can run in the background, and third-party apps are actually left running in a suspended state (Microsoft calls it "dehydrated") as long as the system doesn't need any additional resources. If the user cycles back to an app, it's resumed ("rehydrated") and life continues merrily along, but if the user opens other apps and the system needs additional resources, the app is killed without any indication or remorse.
If that sounds familiar, it's because it's basically a single-tasking riff on Android and Windows Mobile 6, both of which also purport to intelligently manage multiple running applications like this, and both of which usually find themselves greatly improved with manual task managers. We'll have to see if Windows Phone 7 Series can do a better job once it ships -- we have a feeling it will -- and later down the line we'll see if Microsoft decides to extend multitasking to third-party apps. But for now, just know that you're not going to be running Pandora in the background while you do other tasks on a 7 Series device -- it is a question we have specifically asked, and the answer, unfortunately, is no.
P.S. Still don't believe us? Hear it for yourself directly from Microsoft's Todd Brix:

Replacing old brakes with new brake pads is a standard maintenance task and will have to be done several times in the life of a vehicle.

Rather depressing to see on the front page another "OUTRAGE!!!" screenshot. When I see a comment on Reddit that I disagree with, I generally tend to downvote. If those comments are endemic to a subreddit, I tend to unsubscribe.
I'm sick of hearing that TwoXChromosomes is some sort of den of cackling misandrists. I've posted there several times and never been made to feel unwelcome.
If we must discuss this, some facts about the Kobe Bryant rape case:
- The accuser wore underpants containing another man's semen and pubic hair to her rape examination the following day. One man's semen, not three, which she claimed was because she grabbed the wrong underwear from her laundry.
- Evidence of vaginal trauma, including blood that was not menstrual blood, was found on the accuser's shirt and in her underpants.
- Two of the accuser's coworkers disagreed on her demeanor after the assault--a female coworker said she did not appear upset, but a male coworker claimed she was very distressed and told him that Kobe Bryant attempted to rape her.
- The charges were dropped and the trial dismissed because the accuser informed prosecutors that she was unwilling to testify, not because prosecutors didn't feel there was enough evidence to move forward.
- The accuser's unwillingness to testify may have had something to do with the death threats she received after her identity was exposed despite legal protections for alleged victims of rape. Sports websites dug up information on her and harassed her and her family.
- Kobe reached a confidential settlement with his accuser in a civil suit and made the following statement:
First, I want to apologize directly to the young woman involved in this incident. I want to apologize to her for my behavior that night and for the consequences she has suffered in the past year. Although this year has been incredibly difficult for me personally, I can only imagine the pain she has had to endure. I also want to apologize to her parents and family members, and to my family and friends and supporters, and to the citizens of Eagle, Colo. I also want to make it clear that I do not question the motives of this young woman. No money has been paid to this woman. She has agreed that this statement will not be used against me in the civil case. Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter.

And--though I'm a little loath to even post it here--a website that still to this day shows Kobe's alleged victim's name and what was her address and phone number during the rape case, along with plenty of technicolor slander and encouragement to harass her.
Kobe Bryant has never been convicted of rape; in our Constitutional republic, that makes him a free man and, at least legally, an innocent man. But that does not necessarily make his accuser a liar. Nor does it make an untruth about the semen of three men a "fact." Nor does it make anger over the harassment received by women who accuse powerful men of rape pointless outrage.
In Kobe's own words, he now understands how his alleged victim did not see the encounter as consensual. There is no question that intercourse occurred. His alleged victim's sexual habits are irrelevant. If your mother or sister happened to be in a promiscuous phase and she was raped, would you excuse her rapist because she had other sexual partners around the same time?
tl;dr: The headline of this post. If you're going to post a screenshot accusing someone of pointless outrage and lauding someone else for posting "Facts," please make sure those facts ARE actually facts first.
Edit: Instantly downvoted--I guess facts don't matter to Reddit after all, unless they agree with the majority of the hivemind and its witch hunt of the day.
