People spend a lot of time in email applications, so it makes sense to have links to other applications and useful information next to the email. Some would like to see their bookmarks, others would find useful to have their agenda and the list of to-do items.

WARNING: This is a super-cute song that kind of gets stuck in your head. This is a really fun video with kitties flushing the toilet.

Here's how to use the RJDJ iPhone app. You install the app, plug your headphones in, launch it, and press "Now Playing". A song plays, the app starts to sample the sounds in your environment, and those sounds are remixed in real time and played back to you. It might be the coolest thing ever. Check out this video and this other video for a quick look at how RJDJ works. The first video shows some songs that use the iPhone's accelerometer to modify and scratch the beat. (via waxy)
PS. It might only be the coolest app in theory...it's also flaky as hell. It was working fine for me and then crapped out...there's no music now, only sound sampling and it's really quiet. Maybe you need to use the Apple headphones with the mic?

I finally took a day to update Tap Tap Revolution and get a few more features in.
Among the millions of new features are:
- MUCH better tap response
- Multitouch taps have been eliminated
- Pause and Exit buttons in game mode
- Clearer tap graphic
- High Scores table for each song (that's why you're prompted for a user name)
- The iTunes Library remembers who made beats for each song
Watch for a couple new tracks coming soon, too.
It's already in iBrickr and will be in Installer very soon, thanks to Shaun who does half the packaging for Installer.app.
Give him your money! He spends a lot of time packaging these apps for mass consumption and deserves a lot of the credit for how easy it is to get applications on your iPhone.

It's what the mobile music experience could be
This project started as I explored ways to view lyrics while listening to my music library on the iPod Touch. Ideas kept coming and I added some concepts (and code) from iMovieMash.com plus great content from the multitude of public video, music and search APIs.
The result was iMusicMash.com, an iPhone and Android G1 social web application that takes your music experience to a whole new level of enjoyment and discovery. You can start with the friends' playlists we already have or load your own iTunes music library. The interface is familiar as it mimics the iPhone's iPod. For each artist, we bring photos from Yahoo Boss Image Search, concert dates from Eventful, and live Twitter discussions. Then, for each song, we bring great YouTube videos, lyrics from LyricWiki, similar songs from Last.fm, and friends' songs for the same artist.
I recently added lyrics search and artist/title search.
iMusicMash was a winner in the Yahoo Developer Mashup contest at the recent Mashup Camp in Mt. View, California.
